Youth Filmmaking Workshop
Our flagship program is our youth film production workshop. Though the experience is designed for youth of all backgrounds, we focus on reaching communities where young people have little to no access to cinema or filmmaking opportunities.
Participants learn storytelling and filmmaking skills, gain exposure to diverse examples of visual media and world cinema and tap into their imagination and lived experiences. The workshop supports personal development and social emotional learning, building the participant’s skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication and collaboration.
At the end of the workshop, each cohort conceptualizes and produces a short film.
Call Time Creatives Collective
Designed to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, we gather once a month for Call Time. We do more than just talk; we collaborate, conceptualize, and produce films together. Our creatives pitch and present new work to peers, gain critical feedback, exchange ideas and information, and network while actively working on their projects.
The Creative Research Studio is a dynamic platform designed to merge academic insight with cinematic exploration. This space aims to make innovative scholarly research accessible while showcasing informative filmmaking that addresses social issues. By connecting academia, practitioners and the public, we facilitate a deeper understanding and appreciation of how film and education intersect to foster human development, social change, and cultural enrichment.
